I am Edina Rizvić-Eminović, an Associate Professor at the University of Zenica English Department. I am a 2012 JFDP alumna and I spent one semester at Iowa State University. I enjoyed the campus life, the activities organized by the students and for the students and scholars, and some of the friendships I established then are still present in my life. I attended courses at all three cycles of study, one of them quite novel at the time, a course in Computer Assisted Language Learning. The experience I gained there as a scholar helped me improve my teaching practice and develop and introduce some new courses at my Department. It also served as a confirmation that there is always room for improvement and that an individual can make a change for the better at least in the world around them, a realization which is still empowering to me.
